Newspaper Transformation: Roses of Repurposed Hope

Do you remember the painted newspaper from earlier this week?

They were transformed via paint, cutting and folding.

And then they were added to a painted canvas.

Cuppa Joy

When I was invited to create a piece of coffee cup art for a show I had no idea what I was going to do.  Eventually I decided to bring some of my handmade paper and love of book arts into the project.

As a little play on "cuppa joe,"  I created a Cuppa Joy--a book of quotes on handmade paper in a coffee cup covered in handmade paper.

The show opening is Friday, February 26, at Nine Muses Gallery in Barberton.  The show opening coincides with George Kurka's solo show, Alchemy, and Barberton's new 4th Friday Art Walks.
