Handmade Holidays Children's Art Classes

I am so looking forward to the next round of kids' art classes.  We begin 2 weeks from this evening. It is going to be a lovely chance for kids to get messy, explore their creativity, and make items that they can give as seasonal gifts and decorations.  It's a wonderful time to focus on using our talents to enrich the lives others.

Children’s Art Classes

Nov. 7 - Dec. 12, 2016, 6 - 7 p.m. ($90/ 6 sessions)
at The Art Center on Tusc, 571 W. Tuscarawas Ave., Barberton OH  44203

We will create a variety of projects that will be suitable for gift giving and seasonal expression .  Our emphasis will be on recycling/upcycling.  Here is our tentative schedule:

1.  Papermaking Galore--make paper for cards, books, and garlands or ornaments
2. Tree to Book to Tree--transforming used books into trees and handmade paper into books
3. Printmaking--using everyday objects we will print wrapping paper, cards, book covers, and perhaps framable art
4. Felting and Sewing--basic techniques to create objects worthy of gift giving
5. Students’ Choice--we will either make newspaper rose wreaths or painted dishes or maybe both!
6. Wrap It All Up--we will finish any unfinished creations and wrap and package our goodies
