Favorite Color Workshop

I so enjoy providing space, materials, and inspiration so that others can create!  Today it happened for some of my young artist friends {aka students!}  We focused on monochromatic art.  Some of these works will be available for viewing at Nine Muses Art Gallery in February.

If you want to see more art options for kids, click on the tab above titled, "Art Classes for Kids."

Here are a few of my favorite photos from works in progress:

Celebration of the Solstice

Today is the Winter Solstice.  It is the longest night of the year.  I was delighted when Sam asked if we could go on a solstice hike.  I feel that part of my creative expression is providing and participating in such activities.  Below is a bit of the documentation of magical moments at the start of a long night that dawns with hope!  Here's a wish that you might feel magic and hope and inspiration.

Last Minute Gifts and Shopping Trips

Are you looking for last minute gifts?  I have you covered!!

Coconut macaroons.  These little cookies pack a big punch, and I will ship them anywhere in the continental U.S.

Crafting Adventure Club.  How fun to have a creative adventure every single month of 2017.  {If you're looking for something a little smaller, there are 3 and 6 month memberships, and one time passes.}

Restoration and Renewal Toolbox.  This is a great little anytime online retreat for teachers to refocus in a gentle and self paced way.

Magic Wands.  Can't everyone use a little more magic in life?!  I will add a name to any wand or you can request customized color combos, as time permits.

Painting Party.  Why not provide your friends or family with a lovely evening of painting together?  You provide the space and treats, and I provide all the painting materials.  Email me to schedule your party date.  {I have some days available over winter break!}

Original Art.  I create a variety of whimsical and inspiring pieces of art from greeting cards {that are amazing with a little frame!} to the small cubes to larger pieces.

Gift Certificates always make a great gift, and you can plan a trip to my studio for a private showing.  I'll even put the tea kettle on!

If you're local, make an appointment to bring your friends or family shopping at my studio.  I will offer your whole group a 10% discount on everything you buy between now and the new year!

Flower Fairies

I love these little flower fairies more and more with each one I make.  I see personality and enthusiasm for an enchanted life begin to appear in them during the creative process.

The fairy is tied to the make magic card with some rustic twine.  The back of the card reads as follows:

Meet your new Flower Fairy!
Your first job is to design the setting of your fairy's adventures.  Will you make a forest, a garden, and ocean, or an outer space scene?  Use paints, crayons or colored pencils on the background.  {You might use both sides to create 2 different scenes!}
Enjoy many adventures with your fairy!

There is a 12 x 4.5 inch piece of sturdy watercolor paper tucked in the middle.

If you see one you must have EMAIL me immediately, so that I can invoice you and get it into your hands.  Unclaimed fairies are going on home seeking adventure on Wednesday, so act quickly.  $12 includes shipping!

Special requests are always considered!

Coconut Macaroons are Delicious and Available for a Limited Time

A baker's dozen of delicious coconut macaroons--yum!

I remember coming home from college one December with no idea for how I was going to pay for books the next semester.  My mom and I sold her delicious fudge by special order, and by the time I went back to school I had enough money for books.

Most of my income streams dry up between mid December and mid January, but the bills keep coming.  So I was thinking about food I make that people think is super delicious, and I'm going with my coconut macaroons.  People LOVE them!  Even some people who don't think they like coconut like these.

So here is what I'm doing:

• For the next month I am baking and selling my super delicious coconut macaroons packaged in a large Chinese food container with some colorful tissue paper.
• The price is $10 for a baker's dozen.
• Pick up is at my house in Barberton.  The pick up schedule is listed below.
• I will ship anywhere in the continental U.S. for $4 a box.
• If you're local I will deliver orders of 8 or more boxes to you for FREE.

Host a Home or Workplace Brave Art Trunk Show

December is a wonderful time of year to share all of the goodies I make with your friends, neighbors, and coworkers.  Most people are looking for hostess gifts, stocking stuffers, secret Santa, and just because gifts.

It's so simple and fun!  You and I choose a date and time.  I show up with a couple boxes of goodies that I display.  I am happy to talk about my creative process or gifts that fit together nicely in a package or even do a painting demo.  Your friends shop and buy unique one of a kind local art!

What's in it for you?  As the host/hostess you receive 15% of total sales in free stuff that you get to choose.  Your friends buy $500 of goodness, and you get $75 in stuff for free.

Email me or message me on FB to set up a party.  I still have many possible openings over the next 3 weeks!

Gift Certificates Make Great Gifts

Why not give gift certificates from Brave Art to the people you love?  You can give so much more than a mass produced big box store item.

Here are some of the ways Brave Art Gift Certificates can be used:

Give a private shopping trip to my studio, for a time we set up together.  Many items in my studio are under $25--wands, flower fairies, small canvas paintings, inspirational watercolors, and card sets.  If someone special has had their eye on a larger piece of art, this is a great way to surprise them, too!

Give an art class, art lessons, workshop, or painting party with a gift certificate.  Art lessons begin at $20.  Most 6 week classes are $90.  One space at a painting party begins at $25 or give a whole party to a group of family or friends!

We can also customize an experience just for you and those you love!  Why not have a painting party when all your cousins are visiting over the holidays?  Why not host a paper making workshop for your girlfriends?  Why not make art for New Year's Eve?

Gift Certificates can be given in any dollar amount.  Paypal has a little printable gift certificate, but I would like to send you a handmade card with a gift certificate enclosed.  It has much more of my creativity infused in it!   If you have questions, email me.

I look forward to making your holiday season and new year overflow with creativity!
